TECHNOLOGIES AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
MeteRSit has developed 3 different RF communication technologies:

Both MBUS and GPRS communications support DLMS Cosem protocol with encryption and authentication.
The local communication is operated by means of ZVEI optical ports which can be connected to palm PC through a probe.
Concentrators are also available for both the MBUS wireless technologies. They can be operated with 230 VAC or with battery.
THE MEASUREMENT TECHNOLOGY
Measurement is intrinsically compensated in temperature and independent from pressure. Measurement is displayed directly in standard cubic-meters.
The measurement technology is based on a MEMS “Micro Thermal Flow Sensing” principle. A micro heating element heats two temperature sensors placed symmetrically to the heater in a bypass. In presence of gas flow the two sensors measure a temperature differential which is related to the flow on the basis of known physics principles.
Measurement accuracy is high and suitable for gas meters which are in accordance with the Measuring Instrumentation Directive (MID). Such micro-thermal measuring principle is also used in the laboratory instrumentation.
Measurement accuracy is not affected by dust contamination. In fact thanks to special dust settling devices which are realized with nano-technologies and placed in the sensor housing, the micro-thermal sensor response is not affected by the dust particles.
Measurement accuracy is independent from the chemical composition of the gas within the 2nd gas Family Group H normally used in Europe.
By measuring some gas properties, a pre-set auto-calibration process without any additional adjustment guarantees the accuracy levels requested by the MID.
The meter is also able to detect when gas is just air (test phase) and it calibrates itself without any additional adjustments.
