SIT has developed an extremely innovating platform of electronic controls for the atmospheric and pre-mix gas fired appliances: the BIC platform.
These new boards are surprisingly rich with features, which come in addition to the functionality that is well known by the manufacturers of heating appliances.
The platform consists of three versions: Standard, Premium and Top. With these three versions a wide variety of customization is possible.
Flexibility is the keyword: the BIC platform boards can be extended with customized add-on boards with specific functions. This way –even with the smallest of the three boards- a full configuration can be achieved. Just as an example: with the “top” version it is up to the customer to define whether or not the board should have the fan commutation electronics present.
The functions are pre-defined and with the help of configuration parameters these options can be enabled or disabled.
If particular functions are not needed, the hardware components are not mounted on the board, resulting in the effective price-performance ratio.
This results in a higher price-performance ratio because the boards share the vast majority of components: an intelligent solution where, with only a few components, a big number of features are implemented.
And this freedom of customization is available with very short lead-times.
All the Platform boards have the SMPS power supply in order to reduce stand-by losses and be more flexible with respect to mains voltage swings.
585 HEATING MANAGEMENT CONTROL
In cases where the 585 series controls do not offer enough I/O for appliance and/or application, SIT can now offer an extension board. The purpose of this solution is to offer additional features with respect to the already well equipped 585 boards. Features include: sensors, thermostats, pumps and 3-way valve drivers for two additional heating zones, a cascade control with extra pump and thermostat and solar panel control.
If the application using the 585 platform boards simply needs more I/O, this board can be used as an I/O extension. The HEATING MANAGEMENT CONTROL has options to be shipped with or without case, using an integrated dual line true text LCD or real time clock.
